Matcha cookies and spring butterflies

We invite for the culinary journey to Japan where we will discover the taste of matcha! During these workshops, the children will have a chance to find out a little bit about this exciting novelty in the European cuisine as well as to create delicious cookies with matcha and white chocolate.

Matcha is a type of powdered green tea with its roots in the Japanese ceremony of tea drinking known as chanoyu. It is grown and processes in a unique way which makes the leaves become intensely green and rich in amino acids and other nutrients. Traditionally, matcha was used, above all, during ceremonies but today it has been gaining popularity worldwide as an ingredient of various culinary recipes, including desserts, beverages and cakes.

What can we expect?

• We will learn how to make cookies with matcha and white chocolate using authentic Japanese ingredients.

• The children will find out a little bit about the origins of matcha and its healthy properties.

• While waiting for the cookies to bake the children will be making spring butterflies from paper.

• At the end of the workshops all participants will be able to try their own culinary works.

What we provide:

• All ingredients and equipment necessary to make cookies with matcha and white chocolate.

• Recipes for cookies for the children to be able to recreate them at home.

• Beverages and snacks for the participants.

• Materials for spring butterflies.

Workshops for children between 6 and 11 years of age. Duration: up to 90 minutes
Children should be under supervision of their parent or guardian during the workshops.
