Make your own game: checkers

We invite for the creative workshops during which, together with the children, we will be making our own set of Checkers game. We will use natural, wooden elements and stones decorated by the participants.

Checkers is one of the oldest strategic games which is well-known all over the world. Its origins date back to the ancient Egypt where it is likely to have been discovered approx. 3 thousand years ago. Initially, this game was known under the name "alquerque” and it was played on a rectangular board with 5x5 fields.

What can we expect?

• The children will have a chance to make their own board game whilst learning patience, precision and creativity at the same time.

• We will be using natural, wooden elements and stones which the children will be decorating according to their own idea, giving the game a personal and unique character.

• We will learn the rules of the Checkers game as well as some strategies which will help the participants win the game.

What we provide:

• All necessary materials in order to create the board game, including wooden elements, stones and paints as well as accessories for decorating the game.

• Instructions and assistance while making the game.

• Beverages and snacks for the participants.

Workshops for children between 6 and 11 years of age. Duration up to 70 minutes.
Children should be under supervision of their parent or guardian during the workshops.

Cost of attendance: PLN 50*(price valid until 19.04 at 3.00 p.m.)
